CARNEYVAL

Carneyval Poster (686 x 1016 mm).png

Happy-go-lucky cousins Bate and Switch Carney grew up in their family’s carnival traveling from Michigan to Texas each year. Despite the tragic, early deaths of their parents, CARNEYVAL is a life Bate and Switch love. They’re never tied down, not to a place or a face or an argument. They even have a leprechaun friend. If that one sheriff in Chubbs County, Texas, wasn’t such a jerk, the situation would be as perfect as the song they sing at the end of every county carnival run.

It’s fun business as usual until one of Bate’s old girlfriends tries to prove paternity but only ends up proving Bate isn’t who he thought he was, and neither is Switch. To make matters worse, his anguished confession to the crew confirms their nagging suspicion that the cousins never understood the real purpose of CARNEYVAL. It’s not a fair. It’s a treasure map for the missing family of the 1847 San Patricios Battalion.

Desperate to make it up to their beloved carnival brethren, Bate and Switch take it upon themselves to find what was long ago lost. Unfortunately, running off to Mexico with a half-baked plan in the middle of the night turns out to be an exceptionally bad idea. Unbeknownst to them, the Chubbs County Sheriff has gone over the edge with his own multi-generational saga, which includes a vendetta against the Carney family as old as CARNEYVAL. Everyone is in for a big surprise when Bate and Switch return with the motherlode and nowhere to hide it from the Sheriff’s mounting investigation.
